Prewar Apt, total gut renovation in loft-style, Upper West Side, New York.
The reconfigured 1,200 sq ft apartment features an open Custom Kitchen and Smart Home System. The object was to bring a flow of natural light into the center of the apartment, enhance storage significantly, and enlarge the second guest bath. This new floor plan boasts large closet spaces and built-in shelving in master bedroom, study, and hall parlors. 2 bathrooms.
Color scheme, finishes, and furniture correspond to the lighting concept. Restored to its original height the ceiling revealed an intricate pattern of beams that needed to be complemented to visually disappear by playing off each other. Valuable details, such as iron radiators with neo-futuristic feel, were restored throughout the apartment.
The designs aim to stay authentic to the landmark building's era while fulfilling the client's wish of a loft-style and clean look.
